This policy explains what personal information Second Chance by Ramah collects when you use schancebyramah.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Second Chance by Ramah is a handmade candle and home-fragrance workshop based in Tangier, Morocco. If you have any question about this policy or about your data, write to Ramah@schancebyramah.com or call +212 662-056765.
What we collect
When you place an order. Your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, the items you bought, and the amount paid. We need all of it to make, send and account for your order.
When you create an account. Your name, email address and a password, plus any addresses you choose to save for next time.
When you contact us. Whatever you put in the contact form, including your name, email address and message.
When you browse. Our shop uses cookies to remember what is in your basket and to keep you signed in. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it
- To take, prepare and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
- To handle returns, refunds and customer questions.
- To keep the accounting and tax records the law requires us to keep.
- To send you marketing email — only if you have asked us to, and you can stop at any time.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
Only the people we need to involve in getting your order to you and keeping the site running:
- The delivery company carrying your parcel — they receive your name, address and phone number.
- Our payment provider, who processes the transaction. Card details are entered on their systems, not ours: we never see or store your full card number.
- Our web host, on whose servers this site and its database run.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Moroccan accounting and tax law requires. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Contact-form messages are kept while we deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete it where we are not required to keep it, or stop using it for marketing. Email Ramah@schancebyramah.com and we will respond as quickly as we can.
Processing of personal data in Morocco is governed by Law 09-08. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may contact the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel).
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the shop to work — remembering your basket, keeping you signed in during checkout, and security. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the basket and checkout will not work properly without them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
